The various facets of dogs

In the world of pet animals, dog takes an important role. It is a friendly, at the same time a gratitude filled animal. The salient feature of dog could be its smelling power. By its smelling power only it has been a good and needed friend of police. By its help most of crimes and culprits are being traced. Those are popularly called the sniffer dogs.  Dogs are grown with a friendship mode and for safety for one’s house. Among all the creatures in the world, the best known for gratitude to its boss would be dogs. There are a lot of exotic and indigenous breed of dogs along the globe. The pups are being treated as a play toys among the children. They have a greater affinity towards dogs. I have a dog named Festus, he’s the smartest dog I’ve ever seen. I adopted him from the local shelter when he was just six weeks old. He was so small he fit into a dog Christmas stocking I bought him! Due to the fact he was so young, the shelter was going to put the dog to sleep because they were worried about ‘hidden’ parvo virus. I couldn’t bare the thought of them killing the dog just because he was a puppy so I signed a waiver and adopted the dog. He has a crazy personality and I’m convinced if he was a person, he would be Jim Carrey.  Festus’ tricks include, shaking, high five, waving, saying please when he wants a treat and shooting the moon (goes down on his elbows and sticks his bum in the air). His most amazing ‘tricks’ are all self taught. If I take my shoes off he automatically brings me my slippers, if I drop something on the floor he picks it up for me and brings it back, at supper time he gathers all three of my dogs’ food bowls and brings them to me to be filled. I love him to death, he’s my best friend.
