Recently I met a woman with a little Chihuahua. Well, I suppose all Chihuahuas are little! She had outfits for her pup to wear in the cold and rain. Then she began to look into small dog pajamas! If your pup is tiny, or has short hair, pajamas are actually worthwhile. It’s just like for people. We have separate outfits for bedtime and lounging to keep furniture and bedding clean – no one jumps in bed wearing their work clothes.  Fabrics used for dog pajamas can include synthetics and cotton. Because the dog’s body temperature is higher than humans, you don’t want them to get overheated. Pay attention to the fabric used, just like for your own clothing choices. Cotton is a good selection. It’s washable and most importantly it is a breathable fabric. If you’re creative and like to sew, you may find or make your own patterns. Your tiny pup will thank you for it!
