Salt-water Fishing

Last weekend, my husband and I decided that we would like to go out in our salt-water fishing boat. We love to go shark fishing, and the weather hadn’t been favorable in quite some time, so we were pumped about finally getting to go offshore. We had been watching the weather, and the tropical depression was well up the coast, so we felt safe. Boy were we wrong! When we got out about two miles, the waves started getting pretty rough. We’d been out in water like this before so we were not scared, just being cautious – so we decided to throw anchor and fish. Right when we cast out, we were getting hits like crazy. The shark was biting like we had never seen before. In Georgia, we have a new law and can only keep one small breed shark and one large breed, so you have to be careful about what to keep. We finally landed the largest shark we had ever caught. After fighting it about thirty minutes, we pulled in a six foot blacktip. What a weekend!
